The Rifugio Stivo awaits you at 2,012 m above sea level, halfway between the Sarca Valley and the Vallagarina. To reach us, you leave your car in the valley and hike up along mountain trails. When you arrive, you will be welcomed by a stunning view of Lake Garda and the surrounding peaks.

Here, hospitality is made of simple and authentic things: the warmth of a lit stove, a good Trentino dish and the genuine atmosphere of a true mountain refuge.

Hi, I'm Alberto

manager of the mountain hut since 2017

Before doing this job, my life was made of books, classical literature studies, and sports. While not denying anything from my past, I soon realized that my place was up here, among the thin air, the snow, and the rhythms of the mountain. After years of experience as a collaborator in various mountain huts, I decided to take the lead myself.

Since 2017, I have been looking after this historic place, founded in 1906 by the SAT, welcoming those looking for the authentic mountain and who want, like me, to return to the essentials.
